Making sure we and our homes are prepared for the next few months can be a challenge, but there are certain tasks that can be completed to make the transition a little bit easier.

It is also more sensible to carry out this task before the weather really changes for the worse, otherwise it could be a very challenging job in difficult conditions.
Clean Out The Greenhouse – With your first tender seeds set to be planted in March, now is a great time to get the greenhouse cleaned and ready for your first attempts at making things grow. If you leave this task until March then you could well run out of time when it comes to clearing out and planting, so by making sure you have completed the cleaning now will mean that you can crack on when it comes to March and start growing your early season vegetables and plants.

Do not leave any tools outside as they will end up becoming wet and cold and this will reduce the life of them and you should also make sure any empty pots are put away so that they do not crack with the frost.
Windows And Fascias – The first couple of weeks of November is a good time to try and get one major clean of the windows and fascia boards done before the rain and dirt hit for the winter months. Because it can be quite dangerous to complete these tasks when the grounds are slippery with ice or rain, getting this sorted whilst there are still some nicer days left makes perfect sense.
